Slapped with a curse, Johnny suffers the meaning of her new last name every day: Forgotten. The mercurial magician delights in toying with her, and Johnny’s one way out would require more brutality than she can live with.
When fellow victim Adrian shows up after curing his curse, Johnny’s hardly in the mood to help him out. But no matter what Adrian did to free himself, the hope he dangles for Johnny lures her into risking what little she has left. Never mind that Adrian needs a favor no one but a forgotten woman can fulfill. Trying to shortcut the magician’s ultimatum might demand a higher price from them both.
